Travel Plans

A Travel Plan is a package of measures produced by employers to encourage staff to use alternatives to the single occupancy car and improve access by all means of travel.

By developing a Travel Plan organisations can help to cut congestion, reduce their carbon footprint, promote sustainable transport, improve staff health and well-being and cut costs.

A Travel Plan may include measures such as providing secure cycle parking and discounted cycle purchase schemes; discounted public transport tickets; providing a journey matching service or providing opportunities for staff to work from home.

Who Can Help?

A free consultancy service is available to organisations in South East Wales that are promoting sustainable travel through a Travel Plan.

This service includes a free staff travel survey, Travel Plan and Site Audit templates and support to access any grant funding.
