Staff can be encouraged to meet up and walk together.
Encourage staff to:
- Check the weather forecast and wear suitable clothing
- Plan their route before leaving
- Take routes that they feel comfortable walking along and to avoid short cuts.
- Take care when listening to music or making phone calls - which are distractions
- Wear a reflective bib when walking after dark along poorly lit roads
