News - Traveline Cymru helps commuters turn over a new leaf

1st April 2010

Traveline Cymru is helping commuters to turn over a new leaf with the launch of their brand new advertising campaign

The New Leaf campaign has been launched across Wales to encourage commuters to choose more sustainable travel options and go green in 2010. The eye catching adverts designed by limegreentangerine are being used for billboards, bus rears and door drops for this integrated campaign.

The billboard and bus rear advertisements have been carefully positioned on commuter routes to target key markets who may not know where to go for travel information. The door drop campaign will be distributed across Swansea, Aberystwyth and Wrexham to boost awareness in these areas.

This is the first time Traveline Cymru have launched a campaign of this scale. It is hoped that the advertisements will make it easier for people currently travelling by car to find out what public transport options are available.

By either logging on to the Traveline Cymru website or calling Traveline on 0871 200 22 33, it is possible to find up to date information for all local and national journeys across Wales. As well as helping commuters go green, it could also help them avoid parking problems, traffic jams and rising fuel costs.

Traveline Cymru are the public transport information service for Wales, ensuring that commuters and the general public can find all the information needed to make informed decisions when they travel.
